Red C5 Vette

Red C5 Vette

This picture was taken at Red Robin Resturant in my Local Town. A local Corvette Club (West Michigan Crew) was there for one of there first outtings of the season. So how did I find out about this event, well my Dad. My Dad has a 2008 C6 Corvette (Not Pictured) and he was attending the event. So my interests in cars and photography was peaked so I "tagged along".

As the weather turns more spring like here in Michigan, I'll be taking Photos of my Dad's 2008 Vette. So be on the look out cause 436HP is on its way!

Running From The Camera

The results of my Running From The Camera Photo Challenge are IN!

Location: VanRaalte Farm Park, Holland, MI

1st Attempt

2nd Attempt

These shots were taken by setting a timer on my camera at 2 seconds and then running! Not so sure the camera captured me from my best side, but I did learn 2 seconds seemed quick.

I have to admit I had fun doing this, so did the people staring at me from the parking lot while I was trying to capture this. I wish there had been better weather and a less busy schedule to put more thought and time into this Challenge.

Don't forget to check out
Ed's results! Let us know what you think! (I think Ed's Is way better...I peaked!)

Dad's Fish

These fish were taken at my Dad's house. He has an acrylic tank and the reflections of the light off from it where very hard to minimize. Also the light in the tank leaves things looking odd colors. The fish are African Cichlids.

Here is an example of what you can do with post processing.

Green Valley

Green Valley

This was one of the last good shots from Livermore CA. This was cropped from a much larger image and I drove the saturation in the image to bring out the Blues and Greens!

I really like this image cause the hills remind me of Hills from Smurfs!

Model: Canon PowerShot S3 IS
Exposure: 1/640 sec
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 36mm

Windmill Sunrise

Windmill Sunrise

I took this picutre in Livermore, CA. Livermore is south of Sacramento and West of San Fransisco. As I stood outside my hotel room watching the sunrise over the valley I knew I had to take this shot.

Some post process has been done. I enhanced the saturation and contrast to bring out the orange from the sunrise and darken the color of the ground to black.

Camera: Poweshot S3 IS
Exposure: 1/200 sec
Aperture: f/8.0

Ohh!

Ohh!

Okay so I had her pose for this shot. I like taking her picture on this wall next to a window in our living room. Its a nice blank and neutral color wall that provides a great back drop for portraits

This shot was taken under natural light. I applied the following post processing techniques. First, I added a few points of saturation to bring out her red lips and skin color. Secondly, I adjusted the exposure of the image, the original looked a little dark. Then, I cropped the image so her eyes were on the top thirds line. Finally, I reset the white balance off from the reflection of the light in her eye.

ISO: 800
Exposure: 1/50 sec
Aperture: f/2.8

Play Area

This is a picture of one of my good friends son. He is so cute in his play area. I think his eyes tell the whole story.

I started playing around with Digital Photo Professional from Canon. So here is the same picture after some post processing.
