My daughter got the Game Cootie from Santa Claus this year and I thought what better to shoot a picture of then this classic game.

I shot this on my new Denim Background I got for Christmas using a external flash mounted on camera. I placed a white cloth over the the flash to try and soften the light. I also bounced the flash off a white ceiling. There was some ambient halogen lights in the room as well. A little post processing to brighten the colors helped as well.

Special thanks to my Wife, since I don't have a good way to hold the background, she lent a few hands.

I came across this photo as I was going through some old photos. They eyes really grabbed me into the photo and the Red pole in the background provides great contrast to the over all image.

This American Flag was shot in My Father In-Laws Front Yard on Father's Day. The Reds and Blues were highlighted by the sun providing a glowing effect that makes this shot look amazing!

Red C5 Vette

This picture was taken at Red Robin Resturant in my Local Town. A local Corvette Club (West Michigan Crew) was there for one of there first outtings of the season. So how did I find out about this event, well my Dad. My Dad has a 2008 C6 Corvette (Not Pictured) and he was attending the event. So my interests in cars and photography was peaked so I "tagged along".

As the weather turns more spring like here in Michigan, I'll be taking Photos of my Dad's 2008 Vette. So be on the look out cause 436HP is on its way!

I felt a little odd standing on the side of the road taking this picture as people zoomed by at 55 mph. As the cars went by slush from the road was picked up by their tires and flung in my direction. Several times I had to quickly dodge the slush to prevent the camera from being a target.

I pass this red barn every day on my way to work. I always wanted to pull off to the side of the road and take a picture of this barn so I finally did.

This was taken in my in-laws backyard. I was so surprised to see cardinals this time of year in Michigan. I really like how I was able to capture the birds as they were landing on the feeder. I hope they enjoyed the food as much as I enjoyed watching them eat.

Lunar Eclipse

Well Given that today we had a lunar eclipse I figured what better to take a picture. Not actually a light but as a photographer I suppose I am allowed to bend/break the rules.

This was difficult for me to shoot due to my lack of a tripod and a lens beyond 135mm. All in all I liked this shot of the ones I took because of the stars that also where in the picture. It was also freezing cold outside had to be close to 0 degrees Fahrenheit.

If you are wondering why ISO 800 well it’s because I was so excited to start shooting and it was so cold I forgot to check some of the camera settings before I took the shot.
